20   BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS:

22          SECTION 1.       Arkansas Code  18-12-501 is amended to read as follows:
23          18-12-501.       Acknowledgment and recording.
24          (a)    Every letter A power of attorney, containing a power to convey any
25   real estate as agent or attorney for the owner thereof of the real estate or
26   to execute as agent or attorney for another person any a deed or instrument
27   in writing, that shall convey conveys any real estate, or whereby any real
28   estate shall be is affected in law or equity, shall be acknowledged or proved
29   and certified and recorded with any a deed that the agent or attorney shall
30   make in virtue as a result of the letter power of attorney.
31          (b)    Letters A power of attorney shall be proved or acknowledged before
32   the same courts or officers that are authorized by this act to take probate
33   of deeds conveying real estate.

35          SECTION 2.       Arkansas Code  18-12-502 is amended to read as follows:
36          18-12-502.       Revocation.

 1        (a)(1)     No letter A power of attorney, duly acknowledged or proved and
 2   certified as prescribed by this act, shall may be revoked but by the maker of
 3   the letter power of attorney or his or her legal representatives.
 4                 (2)   The revocation shall be in writing acknowledged or proved
 5   before the proper court or officer and filed for record in the county or
 6   counties where the letter power of attorney was intended to operate.
 7        (b)   All such letters A power of attorney shall be is revoked and
 8   deemed void from the time of filing revocations the revocation for record.
