21 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS:

23 SECTION 1. Arkansas Code 6-53-302(k)(3), concerning the appointment
24 of a board of visitors of a technical college, is amended to read as follows:
25 (3) Members Membership of the board of visitors shall:
26 (A) Be appointed by the Governor subject to the
27 confirmation of the Senate;
28 (B) Serve terms of seven (7) years;
29 (C) Possess the qualifications under subsection (c) of
30 this section; and
31 (D) Be subject to the restrictions under subsection (d) of
32 this section, including the number of members, term of membership, and method
33 of appointment of members, shall be decided by the board of trustees of the
34 four-year institution of higher education or the board of trustees of the
35 university system.
