16 DIRECTORS OF THE ARKANSAS RURAL ENDOWMENT

20 WHEREAS, the Arkansas Rural Endowment Fund, Inc., was established by
21 the General Assembly with the passage of Acts 1959, No. 27, as a private,
22 nonprofit entity with the sole purpose of making affordable agricultural and
23 student loans to rural Arkansans; and
24
25 WHEREAS, the Arkansas Rural Endowment Fund, Inc., has helped thousands
26 of Arkansans attain a higher education in order to pursue their dreams; and
27
28 WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the Arkansas Rural Endowment Fund,
29 Inc., consists of seven (7) members, and they are the final authority on
30 policy matters and direction; and

32 WHEREAS, Act 27 of 1959 and the articles of incorporation of the
33 Arkansas Rural Endowment Fund, Inc., set forth that its new directors be
34 approved by the Senate after their appointments,

36 NOW THEREFORE,

1 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE
2 STATE OF ARKANSAS:

4 THAT the Senate approve and confirm the appointment of Mr. Ronnie
5 Roberts to the Board of Directors of the Arkansas Rural Endowment Fund, Inc.
6
7 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT upon its adoption, a copy of this resolution be
8 provided to the Arkansas Rural Endowment Fund, Inc., and Mr. Roberts by the
9 Secretary of the Senate.
