19 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS:

21 SECTION 1. Arkansas Code 17-52-306(15), concerning the powers and
22 duties of the Arkansas Home Inspector Registration Board, is repealed.
23 (15)(A) Assume the Secretary of the Department of Labor and
24 Licensing's responsibilities for home inspector registration by development
25 of or contracting for a support organization to perform the administrative
26 duties required by the board if the fund totals at least fifteen thousand
27 dollars ($15,000).
28 (B) If the fund totals at least fifteen thousand dollars
29 ($15,000) and the board votes to transfer the responsibilities of the
30 Secretary of the Department of Labor and Licensing to the board, then the
31 board shall give written notice to the Secretary of the Department of Labor
32 and Licensing ninety (90) calendar days before the transfer; and

34 SECTION 2. Arkansas Code 17-52-312(d)(2), concerning the Arkansas
35 Home Inspectors Registration Fund, is repealed.
36 (2) The secretary shall retain twenty-five dollars ($25.00) for

1 processing registration applications and renewals until this process is
2 transferred to the Arkansas Home Inspector Registration Board.
