21 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS:

23 SECTION 1. Arkansas Code 6-85-403(b), concerning eligibility for the
24 Arkansas Concurrent Challenge Scholarship Program, is amended to read as
25 follows:
26 (b)(1) A student successfully completes an endorsed concurrent
27 enrollment course or a course taken towards the completion of a certificate
28 program under this subchapter if he or she completes the course or program
29 and receives a minimum letter grade of C or the equivalent grade point
30 average of 2.5.
31 (2)(A) A student who fails to successfully complete an endorsed
32 concurrent enrollment course or a course taken towards the completion of a
33 certificate program under this subchapter shall:
34 (i) Retain eligibility for a scholarship under this
35 subchapter; and
36 (ii) Enroll in only no more than one (1) endorsed

1 concurrent enrollment course or course required for the completion of a
2 certificate program for the first semester immediately following the semester
3 in which the student failed to successfully complete an endorsed concurrent
4 enrollment course or course taken towards the completion of a certificate
5 program.
6 (B) However, if a student fails an endorsed concurrent
7 enrollment course or a course taken towards the completion of a certificate
8 program under this subchapter a second time, the student shall be ineligible
9 to reapply for a scholarship under this subchapter.
