18 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS:

20 SECTION 1. Arkansas Code 14-2-305(a), concerning the administration
21 and standards of the Electronic Recording Commission, is amended to read as
22 follows:
23 (a)(1) An Electronic Recording Commission consisting of eleven (11)
24 members appointed by the Governor is created to adopt standards to implement
25 this subchapter.
26 (2) A majority of the members of the commission must shall be
27 county recorders.
28 (3) A member of the commission must be an active state
29 legislator shall be from the banking, title, or real estate industry.
30 (4) A member of the commission shall serve a term of two (2)
31 four (4) years.
32 (5) The terms of the current commission members on July 31,
33 2009, shall expire on September 1, 2009 December 31, 2021.
34 (6) Each member of the commission may receive expense
35 reimbursement in accordance with 25-16-901 et seq. APPROVED: 2/9/21
