27 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS:

29 SECTION 1. Arkansas Code 6-18-227, concerning the Arkansas
30 Opportunity Public School Choice Act, is amended to add an additional
31 subsection to read as follows:
32 (m) A student participating in the opportunity public school choice
33 option under this section is eligible to participate in an Arkansas Activity
34 Association interscholastic activity or athletic activity at the receiving
35 school to which the student has transferred immediately upon being approved
36 to participate in the interscholastic activity or athletic activity by the

1 nonresident school district if the student meets the academic and physical
2 requirements of the interscholastic activity or athletic activity.

4 SECTION 2. Arkansas Code 6-18-1904, concerning the Public
5 School Choice Act of 2015, is amended to add an additional subsection to read
6 as follows:
7 (f) A transfer student attending a nonresident school district under
8 this subchapter is eligible to participate in an Arkansas Activity
9 Association interscholastic activity or athletic activity at the nonresident
10 district to which the student has transferred immediately upon being approved
11 to participate in the interscholastic activity or athletic activity by the
12 nonresident district if the student meets the academic and physical
13 requirements of the interscholastic activity or athletic activity.
