21 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS:

23 SECTION 1. Arkansas Code 6-13-619(a)(1)(C)(i), concerning the
24 signatures required by qualified electors to petition a school district board
25 of directors to meet, is amended to read as follows:
26 (i) Is signed by fifty (50) the greater of:
27 (a) Fifty (50) qualified electors in the
28 school district; or
29 (b)(1) One percent (1%) of the qualified
30 electors in the school district, as calculated on July 1 of each year.
31 (2) The number of signatures collected
32 under subdivision (a)(1)(C)(i)(b)(1) of this section shall not exceed two
33 hundred (200) signatures;
