19 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS:

21 SECTION 1. Arkansas Code 20-45-303(a), concerning the Suicide
22 Prevention Hotline, is amended to read as follows:
23 (a)(1) The Department of Health shall establish and maintain, to the
24 extent that funding is available, the Suicide Prevention Hotline for the
25 purpose of helping to prevent suicide in the state.
26 (2) The department may contract with vendors to maintain the
27 Suicide Prevention Hotline.
28 (3) The department shall ensure that the Suicide Prevention
29 Hotline employs individuals who have experience working with veterans or are
30 veterans.
