10 SEX OFFENDER; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
14 CONCERNING THE REGISTRATION OF AN OUT-OF-
15 STATE SEX OFFENDER.
18 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS:
20 SECTION 1. Arkansas Code 12-12-906(a)(2)(A) and (B), concerning
21 registration for an out-of-state sex offender, is amended to read as follows:
22 (2)(A) A sex offender who moves to or returns to this state from
23 another jurisdiction and who would be required to register as a sex offender
24 in the jurisdiction in which he or she was adjudicated guilty or delinquent
25 of a sex offense, or in any other state, shall register with the local law
26 enforcement agency having jurisdiction in person within five (5) calendar
27 days after the sex offender moves to a municipality or county of this state.
28 (B)(i) Any person living in this state who would be
29 required to register as a sex offender in the jurisdiction in which he or she
30 was adjudicated guilty or delinquent of a sex offense, or in any other state,
31 shall register as a sex offender in this state whether living, working, or
32 attending school or other training in Arkansas.
33 (ii) A nonresident worker or student who enters the
34 state shall register in compliance with the Adam Walsh Child Protection and
35 Safety Act of 2006, Pub. L. No. 109-248, as it existed on January 1, 2007.
