3 Relating to Sumter County; to abolish the office of
4 constable.
5 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA:
6 Section 1. In Sumter County, effective at the end of
7 the current term of office, the office of constable provided
8 for in each election precinct pursuant to Chapter 23 of Title
9 36, Code of Alabama 1975, is abolished.
10 Section 2. This act shall become effective immediately
11 following its passage and approval by the Governor, or its
12 otherwise becoming law.
