8 COMMENDING THE ALABAMA A AND M UNIVERSITY FOOTBALL
9 TEAM ON WINNING THE 2021 SOUTHWESTERN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE
10 FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP.

12 WHEREAS, the Alabama A and M Football Team has won
13 the 2021 Southwestern Athletic Conference Football
14 Championship; and
15 WHEREAS, under the leadership of Head Coach Connell
16 Maynor and Assistant Head Coach Duane Taylor, the top-ranked
17 Bulldogs defeated the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff
18 Golden Lions by a score of 40-33 to capture the title; and
19 WHEREAS, the Bulldogs' thrilling victory was the
20 culmination of a perfect season, just the second one in school
21 history and the first undefeated season in 53 years; and
22 WHEREAS, the victory was the result of a total team
23 effort, from the freshman to the seniors; this singular
24 achievement reflects honor on each member of the team, as well
25 as Alabama A and M University and the entire State of Alabama;
26 now therefore,

1 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF
2 THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA, That, with pride and appreciation,
3 Alabama A and M University's Football Team is hereby commended
4 and congratulated on winning the 2021 Southwestern Athletic
5 Conference Football Championship and that, by copy of this
6 resolution, warm best wishes are extended for every future
7 success, on and off the football field.
