8 COMMENDING THE MARION COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS TRACK
9 AND FIELD TEAM FOR WINNING THE 2021 ALABAMA HIGH SCHOOL
10 ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION 1A STATE CHAMPIONSHIP.
11
12 WHEREAS, highest commendations and congratulations
13 are herein proudly presented to the Marion County High School
14 Girls Track and Field Team for winning the 2021 Alabama High
15 School Athletic Association 1A State Championship; and
16 WHEREAS, through hard work, diligence, and an
17 unwavering commitment to excellence, the Marion County High
18 School Girls Track and Field Team, from Guin, Alabama, earned
19 the 2021 Alabama High School Athletic Association 1A State
20 Championship Title, scoring a total of 59 points; the members
21 of this unstoppable track team are the first champions in a
22 girls' sport for the school; and
23 WHEREAS, the talented and hardworking members of the
24 team, all of whom mightily contributed to the success of the
25 program, include Natalie Carter, Alyssa Perez, Erin Culp,
26 Porshia Lipsey, Caroline Pyron, Zoe Lucas, Serenity Metcalfe,
27 and Olivia Webb; and

1 WHEREAS, expert guidance and leadership were
2 provided by Coach Susan Seals, Assistants Mineo Lindsey, Wade
3 Berryhill, and Kelee Williams; and
4 WHEREAS, the record of excellence of these
5 remarkable members of the Marion County High School Girls
6 Track and Field Team reflects immense credit upon their
7 school, their families, and the entire community, and they are
8 truly deserving of special commendation and recognition; now
9 therefore,
10 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF
11 THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA, That Marion County High School's
12 Girls Track and Field Team is honored and commended, and this
13 resolution is offered to the members and their coaches in
14 highest tribute, along with sincere best wishes for continued
15 success in all future endeavors.
