8 COMMENDING SANDRA M. WARE FOR OUTSTANDING
9 PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENT.

11 WHEREAS, highest commendations and congratulations
12 are herein proudly presented to Sandra M. Ware for outstanding
13 professional achievement; and
14 WHEREAS, during her 41-year career, Sandra M. Ware
15 has served with dedication and shared her love of music with
16 many students; and
17 WHEREAS, she attended Alabama State University and
18 received a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1978 and a Master's
19 Degree in 1980; she was an honor student in Voice and Piano;
20 later, she worked as a Graduate Assistant and taught
21 Elementary Class Piano and Applied Piano; and
22 WHEREAS, Sandra M. Ware taught music at St. Jude
23 High School and Fews Elementary School; she was a Theory/
24 Musicianship Instructor with the Montgomery Symphony Orchestra
25 for Young Musicians at E.D. Nixon Elementary School and the
26 Cleveland Avenue YMCA; she has served faithfully as the Music
27 Educator at E.D. Nixon Elementary School since its opening in

1 2001; she directed the school choir, The E.D. Nixon
2 Choraleers, and the choir recorded a Christmas Album in 2004;
3 and
4 WHEREAS, she has received numerous awards from
5 various organizations, including the Maxwell Air Force Base
6 Medal, Who's Who Among Colleges and Universities, and the WSFA
7 Class Act Award; she was recognized as Teacher of the Year at
8 Fews Elementary School in 1986 and 1988; and Teacher of the
9 Month at E.D. Nixon Elementary School in 2016; and
10 WHEREAS, after generously serving with dedication
11 and commitment, it is time for her to enjoy her passions in
12 life and retire May 28, 2021; and
13 WHEREAS, the musical contributions made by Sandra M.
14 Ware to the scores of children whom she has taught and to all
15 who have been graced by hearing her music, are invaluable, and
16 as a result of her long-term dedication, she has succeeded in
17 compiling an impressive record of professional achievements, a
18 record that has earned for her the admiration and respect of
19 those persons who have had the privilege of associating with
20 her; now therefore,
21 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF
22 THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA, That Sandra M. Ware is highly
23 honored and commended for her professional achievement and
24 dedication, and this resolution is given in deepest admiration
25 and appreciation, along with sincere best wishes for her
26 well-deserved retirement.
