5 MOURNING THE DEATH OF FRANK WALLACE BROMBERG.

7 WHEREAS, it is with profound sorrow that we note the
8 death on April 22, 2021, of Frank Wallace Bromberg of
9 Birmingham, Alabama, at the age of 90; and
10 WHEREAS, his passing leaves a void in the lives of
11 his loving family, many friends, and the entire community,
12 where he was highly regarded; Mr. Bromberg was born on June
13 12, 1930, in Birmingham, Alabama, to Charles Louis Bromberg,
14 III and Jean Wallace Bromberg; and
15 WHEREAS, Mr. Bromberg attended Sewanee Military
16 Academy before joining the United States Navy; after being
17 honorably discharged, he joined the family business, National
18 Woodworks, Incorporated, a window and door manufacturing
19 company in Birmingham, Alabama; he married Evelyn Payne
20 Brooks; in 1968, they moved to California, serving alongside
21 Bill Bright and overseeing national operations for Campus
22 Crusade for Christ International; Mr. Bromberg returned to
23 Birmingham in 1972 to act as President of National Woodworks
24 and later President of National Sash and Door Jobbers
25 Association; and

1 WHEREAS, Mr. Bromberg was an Elder of the
2 Presbyterian Church in America and a lifelong follower of
3 Jesus Christ; he remained diligently devoted to Evelyn until
4 her passing from Alzheimer's; he found joy in his twilight
5 years meeting and marrying Ray Napier, the last love of his
6 life; and
7 WHEREAS, he is predeceased by his parents; his late
8 wife of 61 years, Evelyn Payne Bromberg; his son, Eugene
9 Brooks Bromberg; and sister, Sarah Virginia Bromberg; and
10 WHEREAS, he is survived by his loving wife, Ray
11 Napier Bromberg; sister, Jean Wallace Bromberg Lathram (John);
12 daughter, Evelyn "Lyn" Bromberg Chappelle; sons, Frank Wallace
13 Bromberg, Jr. (Annette) and Charles Louis Bromberg, IV
14 (Danice); grandchildren, Brooks Chappelle Wellmon (Chad),
15 Scott Allan Chappelle, Jennifer Bromberg Joseph (Taylor),
16 Katherine Bromberg Futrell (Matthew), Amy Elizabeth Bromberg,
17 Abigail Elizabeth Lisette Bromberg, Hannah Evelyn Jane
18 Bromberg, and Maddison Grace Bassett Bromberg; 17
19 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and many
20 friends; now therefore,
21 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA, BOTH
22 HOUSES THEREOF CONCURRING, That the death of Frank Wallace
23 Bromberg is recorded with deep sadness, and this resolution is
24 offered in tribute to his life, along with heartfelt sympathy
25 to his family, whose grief is shared by many.
