2 ENROLLED, House Joint Resolution,
3 COMMENDING THE PIKE LIBERAL ARTS SCHOOL JUNIOR
4 VARSITY AND VARSITY CHEERLEADERS ON BEING NAMED THE GAMEDAY
5 NATIONAL CHAMPIONS.
6
7 WHEREAS, with great pride and pleasure we extend
8 highest commendation to the Pike Liberal Arts School Junior
9 Varsity and Varsity Cheerleaders for their outstanding
10 achievement in being named the Gameday National Champions; and
11 WHEREAS, the National High School Cheer Competition
12 is held at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida,
13 and nationally televised to more than 100 million homes
14 nationwide as well as 32 countries each year; and
15 WHEREAS, the Varsity Cheerleaders' and Junior
16 Varsity Cheerleaders' winning routines were completed with
17 confidence and excitement; both squads were named Gameday
18 National Champions and received the coveted Universal
19 Cheerleaders Association Nationals satin jackets; and
20 WHEREAS, the talented members of the Patriots'
21 Junior Varsity team are Captain Emma Sanders, Co-Captain Elly
22 Stevens, Chaplain Kate Nelson, Ava Leverett, Caroline Lindsey,
23 Nikki Hopper, Sydney Scott, Allyn Wilson, Kenzie Beth Ray,
24 Caroline Renfroe, Kinsley Simmons, and Lexie Terry; and

1 WHEREAS, the talented members of the Patriots'
2 Varsity Cheer team are Captain Addi Garrott, Co-Captain Raegan
3 Brown, Chaplain Abbi Kay Terry, Dee Allen, Ella Cate Gunter,
4 Claire Lindsey, Emma Carr, Tate Gardner, Sarah Braydon
5 Garrott, and Caroline Senn; and
6 WHEREAS, inspirational leadership and expert
7 guidance were provided by Coaches Katie Scott, Hanna Jordan,
8 Brittany Royal, and Jeromy Shaw; and
9 WHEREAS, the national recognition of the Pike
10 Liberal Arts School Junior Varsity and Varsity Cheerleaders
11 reflects honor upon their families, their school, and the
12 entire community; now therefore,
13 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA, BOTH
14 HOUSES THEREOF CONCURRING, That the Pike Liberal Arts School
15 Junior Varsity and Varsity Cheerleaders and their coaches are
16 honored and commended, and this resolution is offered in
17 highest tribute to them, along with heartiest congratulations
18 and best wishes in all future endeavors.
