2 ENROLLED, An Act,
3 Relating to alcoholic beverages in the City of
4 Clanton in Chilton County; to provide that the city council
5 may authorize the sale of draft beer for on-premises
6 consumption and the sale of draft beer in growlers for
7 off-premises consumption by off-premises retail licensees of
8 the Alcoholic Beverage Control Board.
9 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA:
10 Section 1. This act shall apply only within the
11 corporate limits of the City of Clanton in Chilton County.
12 Section 2. The city council, by ordinance, may
13 authorize the sale and distribution of draft beer by retail
14 licensees of the Alcoholic Beverage Control Board.
15 Authorization shall include the sale of draft beer for
16 off-premises consumption in a growler or other similar
17 container no larger than 64 ounces by persons licensed by the
18 board to make retail sales for off-premises consumption, but
19 may not otherwise include the sale of keg or draft beer for
20 off-premises consumption.
21 Section 3. This act shall become effective on the
22 first day of the third month following its passage and
23 approval by the Governor, or its otherwise becoming law.
