4 ENROLLED, An Act,
5 Relating to Daylight Saving Time; to provide that
6 Alabama would observe Daylight Saving Time year-round upon an
7 act by Congress to amend the existing prohibition in federal
8 law.
9 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA:
10 Section 1. If the United States Congress amends 15
11 U.S.C. 260a to authorize states to observe Daylight Saving
12 Time year-round, the State of Alabama shall adopt Daylight
13 Saving Time as the year-round standard of time for the entire
14 state and all of its political subdivisions.
15 Section 2. This act shall become effective on the
16 first day of the third month following its passage and
17 approval by the Governor, or its otherwise becoming law.
