2 ENROLLED, House Joint Resolution,
3 NAMING A PORTION OF INTERSTATE 10 FROM MILE MARKER
4 18 TO MILE MARKER 23 IN HONOR OF OFFICER JUSTIN TAYLOR BILLA
5 AND OFFICER SEAN PAUL TUDER.

7 WHEREAS, in honor of Officers Justin Taylor Billa
8 and Sean Paul Tuder, who were killed in the line of duty, it
9 is appropriate to name a portion of Interstate 10 in Mobile,
10 Alabama in their honor; and
11 WHEREAS, Officer Billa served bravely with the
12 Mobile Police Department, making the ultimate sacrifice and
13 died in the line of duty on February 20, 2018; and Officer
14 Tuder served bravely with the Mobile Police Department making
15 the ultimate sacrifice and died in the line of duty on January
16 20, 2019; and
17 WHEREAS, highly respected by their fellow police
18 officers and in their community, Officers Billa and Tuder were
19 known to be passionate about their job, helping others, and
20 serving the community; and
21 WHEREAS, while no action on our part can make amends
22 to their families and friends for their loss, this special
23 designation may ensure that they are constantly remembered
24 with utmost gratitude by all Alabamians; now therefore,

1 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA, BOTH
2 HOUSES THEREOF CONCURRING, That in honor of Officer Justin
3 Taylor Billa and Officer Sean Paul Tuder, we declare that the
4 portion of Interstate 10 from Mile Marker 18 to Mile Marker 23
5 in Mobile, Alabama, be named as a memorial for their
6 sacrifice.
7 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the appropriate
8 officials be requested to place and maintain signs or markers
9 as provided in this resolution.
