8 HONORING MRS. MYRTLE STATHAM HARDEN ON HER 100TH
9 BIRTHDAY.

11 WHEREAS, it is a pleasure to honor Mrs. Myrtle
12 Statham Harden on the occasion of her milestone 100th Birthday
13 on April 8, 2021; and
14 WHEREAS, Mrs. Harden was born on April 8, 1921, in
15 Birmingham, Alabama; and
16 WHEREAS, she has lived in Phenix City, Alabama, for
17 most of her life; she attended Central High School, and in
18 1939, she graduated in Thomaston, Georgia; and
19 WHEREAS, Mrs. Harden has been a very faithful,
20 trusted, and respected secretary in businesses and churches;
21 she had a brief tenure in New York City, New York; served for
22 15 years as a Church Secretary at Westside Baptist Church; and
23 served for 40 years, between the years of 1973 and 2012, at
24 Summerville Baptist Church in Phenix City; and
25 WHEREAS, she has two sons; six grandchildren;
26 numerous great-grandchildren; and two
27 great-great-grandchildren; and

1 WHEREAS, a woman with a caring soul, Mrs. Harden is
2 deeply loved and appreciated by many; now therefore,
3 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF
4 THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA, That Mrs. Myrtle Statham Harden is
5 warmly honored on the occasion of her milestone 100th
6 Birthday, and we hereby dedicate this resolution to the
7 incredible centenarian with heartiest admiration and regard.
