8 SYNOPSIS: This bill would provide that Alabama would
9 observe Daylight Saving Time year-round upon an act
10 by Congress to amend the existing prohibition in
11 federal law.

17 Relating to Daylight Saving Time; to provide that
18 Alabama would observe Daylight Saving Time year-round upon an
19 act by Congress to amend the existing prohibition in federal
20 law.
21 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA:
22 Section 1. If the United States Congress amends 15
23 U.S.C. 260a to authorize states to observe Daylight Saving
24 Time year-round, the State of Alabama shall adopt Daylight
25 Saving Time as the year-round standard of time for the entire
26 state and all of its political subdivisions.

2 first day of the third month following its passage and
3 approval by the Governor, or its otherwise becoming law.
