8 MOURNING THE DEATH OF MR. JAMES C. CLOUSE.

10 WHEREAS, the death of Mr. James C. "Jimmy" Clouse,
11 on February 25, 2021, is noted with great sorrow, and his full
12 life of 93 years is honored and celebrated with thanksgiving;
13 and
14 WHEREAS, the son of the late Eugene C. Clouse, Sr.
15 and Galena Knowles Clouse, he was born on March 21, 1927, and
16 was a lifelong resident of Ozark, Alabama, attending Dale
17 County High School before bravely answering the patriotic call
18 of duty and serving in the United States Navy during World War
19 II; and
20 WHEREAS, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and
21 great-grandfather, Mr. Clouse was predeceased by his wife,
22 Ruth Price Clouse, who was the love of his life and to whom he
23 was married for 65 wonderful years; his siblings, Sarah Clouse
24 Deloney, JoAnn Clouse Giffin, Henry Newton Clouse, and Eugene
25 C. Clouse, Jr.; and is survived by his son, James Steven
26 "Steve" Clouse (Diane), and his daughter, Mary Kathryn "Kay"
27 Clouse Nicholas (Brad); grandchildren, Will Nicholas, Kathryn

1 Nicholas, Todd Shillabeer (Tracy), Anne Myree Swinson (John);
2 five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews; and
3 WHEREAS, he was well respected within the oil
4 community, working for many years with his father and brother
5 in their family business, Clouse Oil Company, and was a member
6 and past President of the Alabama Independent Oil Association;
7 and
8 WHEREAS, he was active and served in many civic
9 organizations in the community, including serving as Scout
10 Master of Troop 16, past President of the Ozark Rotary Club,
11 member of the Board of Directors of Fort Rucker National Bank,
12 a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church of
13 Ozark, and a member and past president of the John Wesley
14 Fellowship Sunday School Class; now therefore,
15 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF
16 THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA, That while mourning the death of
17 Mr. James C. "Jimmy" Clouse, we commemorate his life of loving
18 service, and in respect and sympathy, we offer this resolution
19 to his family, whose grief we share.
