5 COMMENDING HEAT TRANSFER PRODUCT GROUP FOR ITS ROLE
6 IN OPERATION WARP SPEED.

8 WHEREAS, it is with immense pride and sincere
9 appreciation that Heat Transfer Product Group (HTPG), a
10 leading manufacturer in commercial refrigeration, is
11 recognized for its role in Operation Warp Speed, which
12 resulted in the creation and distribution of COVID-19
13 vaccines; and
14 WHEREAS, HTPG, based out of Scottsboro, Alabama, is
15 a standalone division of Rheem and a manufacturer of
16 commercial refrigeration equipment sold under the recognized
17 brands of Russell, Witt, Kramer, and ColdZone; and
18 WHEREAS, COVID-19 vaccines must be stored and
19 transported in an exact temperature range to ensure potency;
20 HTPG developed refrigeration solutions to ensure that the
21 vaccine supply chain integrity remained intact; efforts began
22 when HTPG partnered with KPS Global to leverage its expertise
23 in cold chain logistics for the COVID-19 vaccine; KPS Global
24 is a direct customer of McKesson, a leader in the health care

1 industry, which has a partnership with the Centers for Disease
2 Control; and
3 WHEREAS, Operation Warp Speed is a public-private
4 partnership developed in May 2020 to deliver 300 million doses
5 of a safe, effective vaccine for COVID-19 by January 2021; in
6 record time, HTPG developed and produced the equipment that
7 allows the COVID-19 vaccines to be stored at a specific,
8 regulated, and exact temperature; quickly and efficiently,
9 HTPG employees from all areas including sales, engineering,
10 operations, and management worked tirelessly to create the
11 ideal environment for pharmaceuticals like the COVID-19
12 vaccine; through hard work, overtime, and collaboration, HTPG
13 aided in the timely development of the perfect environment for
14 the life-saving vaccines; and
15 WHEREAS, defeating the COVID-19 virus in the United
16 States is a shared responsibility, in which each of us has a
17 critical role to play; we recognize and applaud HTPG's
18 outstanding efforts and part in protecting our country; now
19 therefore,
20 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA, BOTH
21 HOUSES THEREOF CONCURRING, That Heat Transfer Product Group is
22 highly honored and commended for its role and its commitment
23 to ensure our nation's health and safety, and this resolution
24 is given in deepest appreciation for its service to the State
25 of Alabama and to the United States of America.
