2 ENROLLED, House Joint Resolution,
3 CONGRATULATING THE BOOKER T. WASHINGTON HIGH SCHOOL
4 BOYS BASKETBALL TEAM.
5
6 WHEREAS, we take pride and pleasure in
7 congratulating the Booker T. Washington High School Boys
8 Basketball Team of Tuskegee, Alabama, on being the runner-up
9 of the Alabama High School Athletic Association 2021 Boys
10 Class 4A State Championship; and
11 WHEREAS, the Golden Eagles finished the season with
12 a record of 19-5, under the dynamic leadership of Head Coach
13 Corvin Johnson, ably assisted by Coach Royal Maxwell; and
14 WHEREAS, with a group of supportive and appreciative
15 fans in attendance, the Golden Eagles finished runner-up in
16 the state championship game against Anniston High School; and
17 WHEREAS, the hardworking and talented team members
18 who contributed individually and collectively to the
19 successful season were: Cameron Whitfield, Jeffrey Lewis,
20 Joseph Phillips, Anthony Tarver, Jaimon Coleman-Singleton,
21 Jalien Fluellen, Marquis Robinson, Thadrian Collins, Michael
22 Hampton, Jr., Raymond Minor, Elijah Hall, Andrew Johnson, Tony
23 Jackson, Deinkepiribo Harry, Elijah McCray, and Kandarius
24 Green; and

1 WHEREAS, through team work, diligence, and an
2 unwavering commitment to excellence, the Golden Eagles
3 continue to perform admirably; and
4 WHEREAS, the school's administration, the faculty,
5 and the entire community support the Golden Eagles and
6 recognize the outstanding athletic success of the team
7 members; now therefore,
8 BE IT RESOLVED BY OF THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA,
9 BOTH HOUSES THEREOF CONCURRING, That we are proud to recognize
10 and commend the Booker T. Washington High School Boys
11 Basketball Team on being the runner-up in the Alabama High
12 School Athletic Association 2021 Boys Class 4A State
13 Championship; and we hereby dedicate this resolution to the
14 team members and the coaches in heartiest admiration, along
15 with best wishes for continued success in all future
16 endeavors.
