8 MOURNING THE DEATH OF MR. FRANK JOSEPH TRIONE.

10 WHEREAS, it is with profound sorrow that we note the
11 death on February 16, 2021, of Mr. Frank Joseph Trione, at the
12 age of 68; and
13 WHEREAS, his passing leaves a void in the lives of
14 his loving family, many friends, and the entire community,
15 where he was highly regarded; Mr. Trione was born in Daphne,
16 Alabama, to Joby and Gladys Trione; and
17 WHEREAS, after graduating from Fairhope High School,
18 Mr. Trione attended Faulkner State Community College; later,
19 he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture and
20 Education from his beloved Auburn University; he received a
21 Master's Degree and Associate of Arts from Alabama A and M
22 University; he loved Auburn University football and was a
23 member of the Baldwin County Auburn Club, serving as president
24 for a number of years; he served on the Auburn University
25 College of Agriculture Alumni Council and the Dean's Advisory
26 Council for the Auburn University Harrison School of Pharmacy;

1 he was a lifetime member of the Auburn University Alumni
2 Association and College of Agriculture Alumni Association; and
3 WHEREAS, Mr. Trione promoted his interest in
4 agriculture and education through teaching and community
5 service; for 30 years, he taught at Fairhope High School,
6 Daphne High School, and Faulkner State Community College; he
7 was chosen as the Outstanding Secondary Teacher of the Year,
8 Outstanding in the State Career/Technical Educational Program,
9 and State Agriscience Teacher of the Year; he served as State
10 President of Alabama Agriculture Teachers' Association and
11 Vice President of the National Vocational Agricultural
12 Teachers' Association; he received the Honorary American
13 Degree from the National Farmers Federation Association, the
14 organization's highest honor; he was inducted into the Alabama
15 Farmers Federation Association Hall of Fame; he also served on
16 the Baldwin County School Board; and
17 WHEREAS, his love of agriculture and gifts of
18 leadership and humor won the hearts of many people in local
19 and state organizations; he began his service as a member of
20 the Gulf Coast Resource Conservation and Development Council
21 in 2002, serving as secretary for many years before moving to
22 the current position of vice chair; in 2008, he began his
23 service with the Baldwin County Soil and Water Conservation
24 District Board of Supervisors; he held various positions,
25 including chairman from 2019 until his death; he served on the
26 Alabama Association District's Standing Committee as President

1 of AACD Area VI; in 2015, he was named Area VI Supervisor of
2 the Year; and
3 WHEREAS, Mr. Trione loved the city of Daphne,
4 Alabama, and Christ the King Church, his family played a role
5 in building both; he served on Christ the King Parish Council;
6 he was a member of the Knights of Columbus; he was a man of
7 faith and charity with a dedication to serving his community;
8 he served as Daphne City Councilman and was on the Daphne
9 Utility Board from 1980-1986; he enjoyed attending all of
10 Daphne's charitable events and celebrations; he loved spending
11 time with family, traveling, visiting Disney World, attending
12 Auburn University football games, and participating in Mardi
13 Gras festivities; and
14 WHEREAS, Mr. Trione is predeceased by his parents;
15 he is survived by his wife, Margaret Trione; daughter,
16 Margaret Frances Trione; brother, Ben Trione; sisters, Anne
17 Trione (Wende) and Sara Trione; and a host of other relatives
18 and many friends; and
19 WHEREAS, although his presence will be greatly
20 missed, the memories of Mr. Trione will be cherished in the
21 hearts of all who knew and loved him; now therefore,
22 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF
23 THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA, That the death of Mr. Frank Joseph
24 Trione is recorded with deep sadness, and this resolution is
25 offered in tribute to his life, along with heartfelt sympathy
26 to his family, whose grief is shared by many.
