2 ENROLLED, House Joint Resolution,
3 CONGRATULATING THE CLEBURNE COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL
4 WRESTLING TEAM ON WINNING THE CLASS 1A-4A 2021 STATE
5 CHAMPIONSHIP.

7 WHEREAS, we note with great appreciation that the
8 Cleburne County High School Wrestling Team won the Alabama
9 High School Athletic Association Class 1A-4A 2021 Duals
10 Wrestling State Championship; and
11 WHEREAS, the talented Anthony Champion helped to
12 clinch the crown by pinning Ashville's Nick Williamson in 5:36
13 at 120; Zach Salter got the rally started for the team with a
14 major decision over Trenton Martin at 197; Austin Mayfield,
15 Shamar Heard, and Anthony Champion won the last three matches
16 by pins; and
17 WHEREAS, expert guidance and leadership were
18 provided by Head Coach, Jake Mayfield; the championship is the
19 result of months and years of hard work and dedication by the
20 wrestlers, but also by the coaches and support staff; their
21 families and the community are justly proud of their
22 achievement; now therefore,
23 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA, BOTH
24 HOUSES THEREOF CONCURRING, That we heartily congratulate the
25 Cleburne County High School Wrestling Team for winning the

3 extend our heartfelt best wishes for all their future
