5 REMEMBERING THE 8,579 ALABAMIANS WHO LOST THEIR
6 LIVES TO COVID-19.

8 WHEREAS, it is with profound sorrow that we note the
9 deaths of the 8,579 Alabamians who have lost their lives to
10 COVID-19; and
11 WHEREAS, with the amount of deaths from COVID-19 in
12 Alabama, and with the amount of COVID-19 related deaths in
13 general, it is imperative that the virus gets controlled so
14 that it will no longer spread and take lives; and
15 WHEREAS, we extend our deepest condolences to all
16 persons who have lost a loved one to COVID-19; now therefore,
17 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA, BOTH
18 HOUSES THEREOF CONCURRING, That we stand united in remembering
19 the 8,579 Alabamians who lost their lives to COVID-19, and
20 this resolution is offered in tribute to each of their lives,
21 along with heartfelt sympathy to their loved ones, whose grief
22 is shared by many.
