2 ENROLLED, An Act,
3 Relating to the Alabama State Board of Registered
4 Foresters; to amend Section 34-12-31, Code of Alabama 1975, to
5 eliminate the requirement that members of the board be members
6 of the Society of American Foresters.
7 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA:
8 Section 1. Section 34-12-31, Code of Alabama 1975,
9 is amended to read as follows:
10 "34-12-31.
11 "Each member of the board shall be a citizen of the
12 United States and a resident of the State of Alabama, a
13 "registered forester" under the provisions of this chapter, a
14 member or fellow of the Society of American Foresters and
15 shall have been engaged in the practice of the profession of
16 forestry for the last 10 years prior to such appointment."
17 Section 2. This act shall become effective on the
18 first day of the third month following its passage and
19 approval by the Governor, or its otherwise becoming law.
