3 RECOGNIZING THE DAY OF TEARS IN ALABAMA.

5 WHEREAS, on January 22, 1973, a majority of the
6 members of the United States Supreme Court ruled that access
7 to abortion was a right secured by the Constitution; and
8 WHEREAS, since that fateful day, over 61 million
9 unborn children have perished, amounting to an entire third of
10 Generations X through Alpha; now therefore,
11 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA, BOTH
12 HOUSES THEREOF CONCURRING, That January 22, 2022, is
13 recognized as the Day of Tears in Alabama, and citizens of
14 Alabama are encouraged to lower their flags to half-staff to
15 mourn the innocents who lost their lives to abortion.
