8 MOURNING THE DEATH OF MS. SHARONE THOMAS.

10 WHEREAS, it is with profound sorrow that we note the
11 death of Ms. Sharone Thomas, on January 13, 2021, at the age
12 of 69 years; her passing leaves a void in the lives of her
13 loving family, many friends, and the entire community, where
14 she was highly regarded; and
15 WHEREAS, Ms. Thomas was born on December 31, 1951;
16 she grew up in Fairfield, Alabama; she confessed Christ at an
17 early age at Greater Lily Star Baptist Church in Fairfield,
18 Alabama, where served on the #2 Usher Board and the
19 Hospitality Committee; in December 2020, she moved her
20 membership to Focus Ministry; she was a graduate of Fairfield
21 High School, Class of 1971; and
22 WHEREAS, she worked as the Master Breakfast chef at
23 Hyatt House, Tutwiler Hotel, and Sheraton Hotel, and she ended
24 her career at the Renaissance Bridge Golf Resort and Spa of
25 Birmingham; and
26 WHEREAS, she was preceded in death by her parents,
27 William Earl Thomas, Sr., and Julia Bell Thomas; siblings,

1 Barbara Thomas, Tyrone Thomas, and Pinkie Ruth Plump; she is
2 survived by daughters, Minister Bayon T. Mckenzie (Pastor
3 Derrick Mckenzie) and ShaVone Thomas; grandchildren, DeAsha
4 and Dominique Jones, Derrick and Micah Mckenzie, and ShaNiya
5 Fagin; brothers, Reverend Dr. William E Thomas, Jr. (Reverend
6 Hazel) and Phillip George Thomas; sisters, Minister Zettie
7 Lewis, Brunetta Long, Sandra Brown, and Minister Rossilini
8 Thomas; and a host of other relatives and many friends;
9 although her presence will be greatly missed, the memories of
10 her will be cherished in the hearts of all who knew and loved
11 her; now therefore,
12 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF
13 THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA, That the death of Ms. Sharone
14 Thomas is recorded with deep sadness, and this resolution is
15 offered in tribute to her life with heartfelt sympathy to her
16 family.
