8 SYNOPSIS: Under existing law, an automated commercial
9 motor vehicle may operate in this state without a
10 conventional driver present in the vehicle, subject
11 to certain requirements under the Automated
12 Commercial Motor Vehicles and Teleoperations Act.
13 This bill would repeal the Automated
14 Commercial Motor Vehicles and Teleoperations Act.

20 To repeal Chapter 9B of Title 32, Code of Alabama
21 1975, as added by Act 2019-496, 2019 Regular Session, which
22 provides for the Automated Commercial Motor Vehicles
23 Teleoperations Act.
24 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA:
25 Section 1. Chapter 9B of Title 32, Code of Alabama
26 1975, the Automated Commercial Motor Vehicles Teleoperations

1 Act, as added by Act 2019-496, 2019 Regular Session, is
2 repealed.
3 Section 2. This act shall become effective on the
4 first day of the third month following its passage and
5 approval by the Governor, or its otherwise becoming law.
