2 ENROLLED, An Act,
3 To make a supplemental appropriation of available
4 federal funds from the Alabama Emergency Rental Assistance
5 Fund to the Department of Finance of an estimated $263,236,067
6 for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2021.
7 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA:
8 Section 1. In addition to all other appropriations
9 heretofore or hereafter made, there is hereby appropriated an
10 estimated $263,236,067 in federal funds from the Alabama
11 Emergency Rental Assistance Fund to the Department of Finance
12 for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2021 to be delegated
13 through memorandum of agreement to the Alabama Housing Finance
14 Authority for the purpose of administering the Emergency
15 Rental Assistance Program established by Section 501 of
16 Division N of the Consolidated Appropriation Act, 2021, Pub.
17 L. No. 116-260. Any amount of this appropriation remaining
18 unexpended on September 30, 2021, shall be reappropriated to
19 the Department for the same purpose for the fiscal year
20 beginning October 1, 2021.
21 Section 2. This act shall become effective
22 immediately upon its passage and approval by the Governor, or
23 upon its otherwise becoming law.
