2 ENROLLED, An Act,
3 To provide disabled veterans an exemption from the
4 license plate issuance fee.
5 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA:
6 Section 1. A disabled veteran who qualifies for a
7 partial or full exemption from privilege license taxes,
8 registrations fees, or ad valorem taxes under Section
9 32-6-130, 40-12-244, or 40-12-254, Code of Alabama 1975, shall
10 also be exempt from the license plate issuance fee provided in
11 40-12-271.
12 Section 2. This act shall become effective January
13 1, 2022, following its passage and approval by the Governor,
14 or upon its otherwise becoming law.
