2 ENROLLED, An Act,
3 Relating to alcoholic beverages in the City of
4 Prattville in Autauga County and Elmore County; to amend
5 Section 45-1A-40.01, Code of Alabama 1975; to authorize the
6 city council to allow the sale of draft beer in growlers for
7 off-premises consumption.
8 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA:
9 Section 1. Section 45-1A-40.01, Code of Alabama
10 1975, is amended to read as follows:
11 "45-1A-40.01.
12 "(a) This section shall apply to the regulation of
13 the sale and distribution of alcoholic beverages in the City
14 of Prattville in Autauga County and Elmore County.
15 "(b) The city council, by resolution or ordinance,
16 may authorize the sale and distribution of draft beer by
17 retail licensees of the Alcoholic Beverage Control Board.
18 Notwithstanding the foregoing, Authorization shall include the
19 sale of draft beer for off-premises consumption in a growler
20 or similar container no larger than 64 ounces, but may not
21 include the sale of keg beer may not be sold for off-premises
22 consumption."
23 Section 2. This act shall become effective on the
24 first day of the third month following its passage and
25 approval by the Governor, or its otherwise becoming law.
