STATE OF ALASKA BILL NO. HB 100
2024 LEGISLATIVE SESSION
Analysis
This bill proposes to enact paid Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) compensation for State of Alaska Executive Branch
employees. The Division expects to see an increase in FMLA requests that may have previously been using Personal Leave
instead. We are requesting one Human Resource Technician 2 in our Absence Management section to process the
increase in FMLA applicants as well as additional reporting to Payroll Services that will be required if this legislation gets
enacted.
