A BILL
FOR AN ACT ENTITLED
1 "An Act relating to village safe water and hygienic sewage disposal facilities."
2 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:
3 * Section 1. AS 46.07.040 is amended by adding a new subsection to read:
4 (d) The commissioner may not consider the following a prerequisite to fund or
5 construct a facility:
6 (1) the financial, managerial, and technical capability of a village to
7 safely operate and maintain the facility;
8 (2) the affordability and sustainability of safely operating and
9 maintaining the proposed facility.
