Thislegislationprovidesa15%payincreaseforcertainpositionsthatrequireadmissiontothepracticeoflaw,anda10%
increaseforalljudicial employees. TheseincreasesareeffectiveJuly1,2022(FiscalYear2023),andare basedonthesalary
scheduleineffectJune30,2021.HouseBill226alsoprovidesa5%salaryincreaseinFiscalYear2023 forallexemptand
partiallyexemptstaffinallthreebranchesoftheState.
LanguageisincludedtoprovideasalaryincreaseforstaffcoveredunderAS39.27.011(a)inlinewiththesupervisory
bargainingunit(SU).ThisfiscalnoteassumesthelanguageaddingAS39.27.011(m)relatingtoincreasestotheSUarefor
futurebargainingincreasesandnotthecurrentincreasesinFY23and24.
