A RESOLUTION
1 Authorizing the House of Representatives and the Senate to recess for a period of more
2 than three days; requiring the House of Representatives and the Senate to convene on at
3 least one additional calendar day on or before October 12, 2021, during the Fourth
4 Special Session; and authorizing the presiding officers to convene their respective bodies
5 as needed during the Fourth Special Session of the Thirty-Second Alaska State
6 Legislature.
7 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:
8 WHEREAS art. II, sec. 10, Constitution of the State of Alaska, provides that neither
9 house of the legislature may adjourn or recess for longer than three days unless the other
10 house concurs; and
11 WHEREAS Rule 52, Uniform Rules of the Alaska State Legislature, provides that
12 adoption of a concurrent resolution by a majority vote of the full membership of each house
13 constitutes concurrence;
14 BE IT RESOLVED by the Alaska State Legislature that the Senate and the House of

1 Representatives may each recess for more than three days during the Fourth Special Session
2 of the Thirty-Second Alaska State Legislature; and be it
3 FURTHER RESOLVED by the Alaska State Legislature that, in addition to October
4 4, 2021, the Senate and the House of Representatives shall each convene on at least one
5 additional calendar day on or before October 12, 2021, during the Fourth Special Session of
6 the Thirty-Second Alaska State Legislature; and be it
7 FURTHER RESOLVED by the Alaska State Legislature that the presiding officers
8 may otherwise convene their respective bodies as needed during the Fourth Special Session of
9 the Thirty-Second Alaska State Legislature.
