FISCAL NOTE ANALYSIS
STATE OF ALASKA BILL NO. HB209
2022 LEGISLATIVE SESSION
Analysis
This bill will amend AS 41.15.030(b) to allow DNR to use existing general fund appropriations to pay emergency
firefighting personnel to perform nonemergency work related to hazardous fuels reduction. This bill will not result in any
changes to departmental revenue. Emergency firefighters will be paid with existing appropriations from FY21 and FY22
capital budgets for Fire Risk Reduction and Fuel Break activities, therefore, the divsion submits a zero fiscal note.
