FISCAL NOTE ANALYSIS
STATE OF ALASKA BILL NO. SB 115
2022 LEGISLATIVE SESSION
Analysis
This bill allows for the establishment of an address confidentiality program to be administered by the existing Print Services
section of the Division of Shared Services in the Department of Administration. The program would require the Print
Services section to establish an address to be utilized by individuals who meet program criteria. Mail courier staff would
receive, sort, and forward mail to program recipients. Administrative staff would procure, populate, and maintain a
database solution to track program recipient's eligibility and forwarding addresses.
The volume of work is not easily identifiable at this time due to the following variables: amount of program recipients,
types of mail being received and forwarded, and database administration requirements. Additionally, the funding required
to establish and administer this program is unknown due to variables including postage, volume of work, database costs,
and additional staff required to support the program. For these reasons, the Department of Administration submits an
indeterminate fiscal note.
