FOR AN ACT ENTITLED
1 "An Act relating to filing a recall petition."
2 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:
3 * Section 1. AS 15.45.610 is amended to read:
4 Sec. 15.45.610. Filing of petition. A petition must be filed within 365 days
5 after the date the director certified the petition and may not be filed within less
6 than 180 days of the termination of the term of office of a state public official subject
7 to recall. The sponsor may file the petition only if signed by qualified voters equal in
8 number to 25 percent of those who voted in the preceding general election in the state
9 or in the senate or house district of the official sought to be recalled.
