FISCAL NOTE ANALYSIS
STATE OF ALASKA BILL NO. SB 101
2021 LEGISLATIVE SESSION
Analysis
The Citizens' Advisory Commission on Federal Management Areas in Alaska (CACFA) was active from 1981 until 1999, at
which time funding was eliminated. In 2007, AS 41.37 reestablished CACFA and was active from FY2008 through FY2017,
when funding was eliminated.
This bill will extend the termination date of the CACFA through June 30, 2029. The Office of Project Management and
Permitting estimates $178.1 UGF and one permanent full-time position to re-establishing staff support for CACFA.
