2021 LEGISLATIVE SESSION
Analysis
   This bill authorizes the Department of Education & Early Development (DEED) to transfer real property to a broader group
   of entities. It amends AS 14.07.030(a)(6) by removing the limitation on the entities that DEED has authority to transfer real
   property to. Currently, DEED is limited to transfer interests in land to federal agencies, state agencies, or to political
   subdivisions.
   In FY2022, a one-time increment of $6.0 is included for legal services costs associated with amending current regulations to
   align with the statute change.
   This bill has an immediate effective date.
