FISCAL NOTE ANALYSIS
STATE OF ALASKA BILL NO.
2021 LEGISLATIVE SESSION
Analysis
The bill makes changes to statutes governing the educational loan program for postsecondary students. It would change
the eligibility requirements for the consolidation of loans, remove specific loan limits in statute and clarify that borrowers
may begin repayment immediately after a loan is dispersed. The bill is not anticipated to have any fiscal impact to the
Department of Revenue.
