Analysis
HB 85 affects the Business Licensing Section of the Division of Corporations, Business and Professional Licensing (CBPL) by
adding banks to the list of business activities that are not required to obtain an Alaska Business License under AS
43.70.105(a).
CBPL does not anticipate a fiscal impact from this legislation.
Business licensing at CBPL is funded by General Fund/Program Receipts fund source 1005 GF/Prgm (DGF). Business
licensing fees are set per AS 43.70, and revenue in excess of authorized budgeted expenses reverts to the State of Alaska
general fund.
