FISCAL NOTE ANALYSIS
STATE OF ALASKA BILL NO. HB 31
2022 LEGISLATIVE SESSION
Analysis
HB 31 seeks to amend AS 44.12 by adding a new section, 44.12.400, that will exempt the state from observing daylight
saving time. As a result, the state would observe standard time throughout the year. State facilities would adjust facility
clocks and systems to no longer change twice a year.
The Division of Facility Services does not anticipate a fiscal impact from this legislation and therefore submits a zero fiscal
note.
