A BILL
FOR AN ACT ENTITLED
1 "An Act relating to the right of first refusal of a volunteer search and rescue group with
2 respect to surplus state property."
3 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:
4 * Section 1. AS 44.68.110 is amended by adding a new subsection to read:
5 (c) A volunteer search and rescue group in the state may exercise a right of
6 first refusal with respect to obsolete or surplus property that may assist in carrying out
7 search and rescue missions before the property is sold, leased, licensed, or disposed of
8 under (a) of this section. The Department of Administration shall provide public notice
9 of the availability of obsolete or surplus property that may assist in carrying out search
10 and rescue missions before the property is sold, leased, licensed, or disposed of under
11 (a) of this section, as provided by regulation.
