FISCAL NOTE ANALYSIS
STATE OF ALASKA BILL NO. 0
2021 LEGISLATIVE SESSION
Analysis
The bill extends the January 15,2021 Declaration of a Public Health Disaster Emergency to March 15, 2021.
This bill mandates coordination between the Department of Commerce, Community, and Economic Development
(DCCED), the Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS), and the Department of Public Safety (DPS) to expedite the
process for submitting fingerprints under AS 08.68.100(a)(10) and any regulations for applicants for a nursing license
under AS 08.68.
DPS will adjust its processes and priorities during the time of state disaster to meet mandates in the bill, therefore a zero
fiscal note is submitted.
