Analysis
HB 301 amends AS 18.62.020050 to require proof that an applicant for a plumber or electrician certificate of fitness has
successfully completed an apprenticeship program approved by the department or equivalent apprenticeship, or
verification by an Alaskabased labor union of the applicants fitness, for a certificate of fitness to issue.
The Division of Employment and Training Services does not anticipate fiscal impact from this legislation.
