A BILL
FOR AN ACT ENTITLED
1 "An Act relating to permitting a dog or domestic animal to enter or remain on private
2 property without authorization."
3 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:
4 * Section 1. AS 03.55 is amended by adding new sections to read:
5 Article 3. Control of Animals.
6 Sec. 03.55.200. Failure to control animal. (a) The owner and the person
7 having custody and control of a dog or domestic animal may not permit the dog or
8 domestic animal to enter or remain on private property outside a controlled livestock
9 district under AS 03.35.010 - 03.35.070 without authorization.
10 (b) Permitting a dog or domestic animal to enter or remain on private property
11 without authorization is a violation.
12 Sec. 03.55.290. Definitions. In AS 03.55.200 - 03.55.290, "domestic animal"
13 has the meaning given in AS 03.35.070.
